First blog task

 1) Why did you choose A Level Media Studies?

I chose A level media because I did media at GCSE and I really enjoyed it and enjoyed producing the magazine coursework. Media is also a pretty interesting subject for me.

2) Did you take GCSE Media Studies (either here at Greenford or a different school)?

YES I did media at GHS for one of my GCSE

3) If you answered yes to Q2, what grade did you achieve in GCSE Media? What coursework task did you complete? What would you say your strengths and weaknesses were in GCSE Media?

I either got a grade 5 or 6 I cant remember and I chose the magazine coursework task. I would say that one of my strengths were being able to apply and integrate media key conventions as well as identifying codes.

4) What grade do you hope to achieve in A Level Media?

Anything above a B

5) What are your current thoughts about your next steps after A Levels - university, apprenticeship, work?

I plan on going to university and for the subject I don't have a clue

6) What do you think the biggest MEDIA story of 2026 has been and why?

The biggest media story of 2026 is probably the Nepal flood because it allowed people who are foreign to see the severity of the worlds condition

OR the linsey clancy trail

7) What media sources do you use to find out about news and current affairs?

I don't specifically use anything but on TikTok i occasionally come across videos of news

10) How many hours do you spend online in an average day? Is this too little, too much or about right? Why? (If you have an iPhone you can use Screen Time to get an accurate figure of how much you use your phone).

7hrs and 30 min this is too high but its also high because I didn't have homework or revision to do
